In the AccAD engine, accounting and audit information are collected in the memory. Every hour, a script writes the information to the MaxDB.
This script is erroneous in AccAD SPS04, resulting in error messages in the log.

Solution

Replace the script on your SFE machine by executing the following:
1. Logon to the SFE (via SSH)
2. Copy the attached script (vl-write-maxdb.pl) to /etc/cron.hourly/
3. Change the permissions of the script to make it executable using the command
chmod a+x /etc/cron.hourly/vl-write-maxdb.pl

An Accelerated Application Delivery installed landscape can be updated to the latest version using an upgrade script. When trying to upgrade a landscape which consists of a few different platform (Suse, Red-Hat) a slightly different execution process should be taken, as the AccAD DVD divides the tgz by platform.

Solution

1. In the SFE machine, mount the tgz files for both platforms in the same location, for example:
cd /media/cdrom/
tar -xvzf /root/.tgz
tar -xvzf /root/.tgz
2. Now, when entering the folder AccAD/DATA_UNITS/AccAD_ENGINE_2_1 from the location in which the files were mounted you should be able to see all available distributions.
3. Execute the upgrade script of the distribution on which the SFE is installed:
/root/AccAD/DATA_UNITS/AccAD_ENGINE_2_1//upgrade.pl
The script will automatically detect other CFEs platform and will perform the upgrade accordingly.
