Symptom
Upgrade of the functional unit KMC to SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS4. This functional unit consists of KMC-BC, KMC-CM and KMC-COLL.

Content Management: Previously, when trying to check in a document using the DocApplet iView, an error after choosing the “Check In Now” pushbutton occurred. Now, the issue is fixed. More information: SAP Note 801913.Collaboration Rooms: Previously, the additional room parts were represented by a folder and not directly displayed in the detailed navigation. Now, the issue is fixed. More information: SAP Note 1136710.Collaboration Rooms: Previously, private room groups did not appear in the search result list unless you were a member of the corresponding rooms. Even the users with administrator privileges (Content Admin, System Admin, Super Admin, and User Admin) were not able to search for a private room if they were not room members. Now, the users with administrator privileges can search for private rooms without being members of these rooms.Groupware: Previously, when the WebDAV transport protocol was used for connecting to a Microsoft Exchange Server, Single Sign-On did not work even after installing a Kerberos filter on the Microsoft Exchange Server successfully. Now the issue is fixed. More information: SAP Note 1271644,and SAP Note 736644.Knowledge Management: Previously, due to an error in DocApplet, the files were truncated. Now, the files are no longer truncated after a direct check-in attempt. The issue is fixed.Knowledge Management: Previously, after deleting an LDAP user, the notifications relevant for that user were not deleted in the database. Now, the system deletes the notifications successfully.Repository Framework: Previously, some notification e-mails were not sent due to the configuration not being compliant with the security standards. The owner was not able to check who had been assigned the appropriate permissions and who had subscribed for notifications. Now the issue is fixed. Now the issue is fixed.Repository Framework: Previously, even though the user was able to display a link to a document in the UI collection without having permissions for that document, “AccessDeniedException” was logged in the default trace. After the fix, this exception is logged with severity level WARNING. More information: SAP Note 1310739Repository Framework: Previously, the user was able to move or rename a parent resource (collection) even though one or more of the child resources were locked at the same time. After the fix, when a user tries to move or rename such a resource, the system displays a warning message in the user interface.Repository Framework: Previously, when a link resource with an extension in its display name was ponting to a document resource without an extension, a user without read permissions for the target resource was able to see the link but the system displayed it without any indication that it was a link (for example, with an icon for a regular resource). Now the issue is fixed. Now you can upload such files. More information: SAP Note 1301401.Repository Manager: Previously, when you tried to rename a folder that is mapped to the portal drive through Microsoft Windows Explorer, an error occurred and the system displayed the following error message:
Error 5,access denied
But if you tried to rename the same folder directly in KM, the problem did not occur. Now the issue is fixed.Repository Services: Previously, after moving a resource from one folder to another, its technical name was displayed in the subscription notifications. After the fix, the correct display name is displayed.Repository Services: Previously, the search in the subscription cleanup report was case sensitive and placeholders were not allowed. Now the search is case insensitive and placeholders are allowed.Subscription: Previously, the subscription notification displayed the technical name if the resource was approved. Now the issue is solved. More information: SAP Note 1044125Subscription: Previously, the subscription service did not send any e-mail when a group of e-mails contained an invalid e-mail and an exception was thrown. After the fix, the e-mails are sent. The system does not throw an exception for an invalid channel but only writes a warning message for each invalid channel in the log files. More information: SAP Note 815729.Universal Worklist: Previously, the system crashed and wrote an OutOfMemory exception in the log files if too many notifications per user were stored in ActionInbox and Universal Worklist. Now the issue is fixed. In fact, that was not an editable Quick Poll, therefore the values were wrong. Now the correct values are used. Now the issue is fixed.XML Forms: Previously, links in XML forms used the default browser style. Now the links use the portal theme CSS styles.

New features included in this release:
Disc-optimized mode for CM store: a new configuration option is available for versioned resources in CM repositories, which enables shared content between the resource and its last version. With the new mode, a working copy of the content, as specified by the WebDAV standard, is created only when the resource is actually opened for editing.Mail signatures in KMC mails: portal users can maintain their personalized email signatures, which are automatically added to the emails that KMC sends on their behalf (for example, collaboration room invitations). In addition, the system administrator can add a corporate signature, which is used when a personalized one does not exist (for example, when mails are sent by service users).Customizable subject line for KMC subscription and approval mails: the subject lines in e-mails sent by KMC subscription and state management services can be customized with additional parameters.XML forms locking: XML forms are now locked when opened for editing. Concurrent editing by other users is no longer possible.Subscription cleanup report fixes: the subscription cleanup report in KM now replaces correctly both deleted subscription owners and recipients.Attachments cleanup report: documents that are sent as attachments in KM are stored temporarily in the /attachments repository; a report has been provided for cleaning up documents that are not removed by the regular mail sending functionality due to errors.Handling large user groups: additional configuration options have been provided to limit the maximum number of users that can be added to collaboration rooms, subscriptions, approval workflows, and Send To mails. This prevents potential server downtime in cases when too many users are added and mails are sent.
