Symptom

“Write-Protect Mode for the PCD” is activated according to the documentation
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/f0/cf52427aa00b5fe10000000a155106/content.htm. This prevent KMC to start up.

Reason and Prerequisites

Affected versions:
All versions are affected

Solution

Limitation:
When “Write-Protect Mode for the PCD” is activated the Config Framework cannot start, hence the entire KMC cannot start and the following errors in KMC iviews can be seen:
“Runtime Error
An exception occured while processing the request.”
