Solution

To enable SAP Support to process your MDM message effectively the following information is required:

MDM software component information
Review the software prerequisites in the document available on SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/installmdm -> MDM 5.5/7.1 SPxx – Master Guide -> chapter 2.1 Software Component Matrix.Attach the Component Information visible at e.g. http://yourportal.com/index.html -> System Information -> all components.

MDM upgrade information
Was the MDM Landscape recently upgraded ? When ? Was UWL operational before upgrade ?Please confirm the MDM business packages and UWL were installed and configured as described in the document available on SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/installmdm -> MDM 5.5/7.1 SPxx – Portal Business Package.
MDM UWL scenario
Have you ever seen the scenario working as expected ? When did the UWL scenario work last time as expected ?Please confirm: if time-out noticed connecting to repositories, then increasing the time-out in UWL Administration does not help.Please confirm: except UWL, content is visible for other UI components (for example iViews) that connect to the same repository/table as UWL does.please confirm and/or deny how does the same UWL scenario work when using SAP MDM Data Manager Workflow. The operational Workflow scenario in Data Manager is a prerequisite for MDM UWL.The same MDM workflow tasks/jobs are visible for both users: the portal user in UWL List, and its corresponding/mapped repository user in Data Manager Workflow.Attach a screen shot with steps how to replicate the UWL error visible in Portal.Attach the Portal default trace file captured right after the error scenario happens.Attach the UWL log file captured right after the error scenario happens.Related to any MDM content, attach all UWL content configuration xml files (shipped, changed, and/or custom) visible in Universal Worklist Administration.
