MDM Workflow launched from a Portal update does not show up

Symptom
When working in MDM Data Manager Workflow tab or when logged on to the Portal UWL application, you do not see Workflow jobs/tasks that were automatically launched as a result of an update action performed using MDM Portal Item Details iView.

Reason and Prerequisites
This could occur when the MDM workflow template design-time property “Assigned Users” is set to “[Launcher]“. In this configuration , only the user who at run-time triggered the workflow launching (either manually or by and update or other trigger) will be set as the assigned user, and as such, only he will see the job in his corresponding inbox (in Data Manager or UWL).
Solution
Log on to the MDM Data Manager Workflow tab or the MDM UWL application with the MDM user that the Portal user is mapped to. For example: if the Portal user that updated the record and launched the Workflow is mapped to MDM user “Test”, log to the MDM Data manager with user “Test” to see the Workflow job in question.
