SAP EP – Netweaver Portal

Symptom

When migrating collaboration tasks from EP6 SP2 to NW04 SP16, KM Task collaboration context information is lost and task types are set to generic – this prevents room tasks from being displayed in collaboration rooms. Problem has only been experienced in NetWeaver running with Oracle DB

Solution

Please notice that this is only relevant for migration to SP Stack 16. If you are about to migrate to an earlier service pack please log an OSS message to the component EP-BC-JWF and refer to this note. SPS17 and all subsequent service packs contain the workflow fix and patch is not required.

There are two prerequisites for the successful migration of collaboration tasks. Please make sure you have fulfilled them before performing the migration
1. Patch for the target system SAP NetWeaver 2004 KMC SP Stack 16

As a preparation step for the target system please apply the attached patch for SP16 (workflow_patch.zip).

a) Install SAP NetWeaver 2004 SP Stack 16 for KMC to target systemb) Install attached patch for SP Stack 16 using the SDM tool (please first extract ‘com.sap.workflow.portal.sda’ from the attached workflow_patch.zip)c) Restart the target system

2. KMC Migration Tool – please make sure to use release 11 of the migration tool!
