Symptom

When in the UWL, Personalization is used to Duplicate a View of a tab that was created by the Configuration Wizard, the new View appears in the Subview DropdownList of the default tab, instead of the selected, Wizard created tab.

Reason and Prerequisites

Prerequisites:
A new tab had been added to the UWL Inbox with the UWL Configuration Wizard.
Reason:
‘Duplicate’ option in the UWL Personalization, always creates a new View instead of modifying the selected one.
UWL tabs may contain lists of Subviews offered for selection in a dropdown list. This dropdown list can be configured statically in the XML configuration, otherwise appropriate Subviews are added by the UWL coding dynamically.
UWL’s default, ‘tasks’ tab uses dynamically created Subview DropdownList.
When a tab is created by the UWL Configuration wizard, selected Subviews are added statically. This means, new Views (like the one that is created by the UWL Personalization’s ‘duplicate’ option) can not be added dynamically to this tab’S Subview DropdownList.
Newly created View appears in the tasks tab’s Subview DropdownList if it’s appropriate, because of the dynamic creation of the Subview DropdownList.
UWL Personalization can not be used to modify the static/dynamic behaviour of the tabs’ Subview DropdownList creation.

Solution

If the above behavior is not acceptable, please check the UWL’s documentation for manual configuration of the UWL’s XML Configuration files.
If new, manually made configuration is made to override the above behaviour, please do not forget the delete any previously created Personalized View.
