SAP EP – Netweaver Portal

Symptom
After installing a service pack of NW Portal, you find some UI strings which are not translated in the administration environment of the portal or in the personalization dialog.
Reason and Prerequisites
versions: 7.10 SPx, 7.10 Enhancement Package #1 SPx
Solution
Some of the translations for the default UI strings have been deleted by the update process. The archives containing the translated strings do exist in the delivery, yet they need to be redeployed.
The solution for this problem is to retrieve the software component EP-RUNTIME.SCA which is part of the portal SP you just installed, and extract the SDA with the following name from the deployables folder (DEPLOYARCHIVES): com.sap.portal.pcd.gparhiddencontent.sda
Please re-deploy this SDA manually on the system and the translation content should be available on the system
