Symptom

This note describes the support of the Business Workflow secondary method concept in UWL.
Other terms

Required reading
Reason and Prerequisites

In Business Workflow, a ’secondary method’ is triggered simultaneously when the user is trying to execute a work item (a primary action). The idea is to make sure that, the user will have to reference certain resources or document, before they make a decision to complete the work item, for example, to approve something.
Solution
AvailabilityStarting from portal NW04 SPS14 and NW04s SP05, UWL can support this for backend release 6.20+.From portal NW04 SPS15, UWL will extend the support back to backend release 4.6x.Backend support from Business Workflow is available in various releases. The support has been further downported. For precise details of availability, refer to note #883964.Behavior
The ’secondary method’ is rendered in UWL as ‘Required Reading attachment’. There exists a separate heading for such link. This will trigger the corresponding secondary method defined in the workflow and display the object.
Standard item execution is still associated with the action button (for example ‘Open Task’) or decision buttons.
