UWL Exception in Adhoc Workflow

Symptom

An Ad-Hoc task is created from Business Workflow task and it is assignned to an assignee. When the assignee tries to Complete the sub-task then the following exception occurs:
“Exception type:com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.connect.ConnectorException Message:Thu Aug 28 09:31:17 CEST 2008 :com.sap.workflow.worklist.ejb.EWorkListServerBean.__ejbLeave():null; nested exception is: java.lang.IllegalStateException”.

Reason and Prerequisites

Business Workflow Integration is Enabled.
Solution

Please change the following flags in all your servers, restart your servers and retest your scenario again.
1. In Workflow.properties file change the flag “uBPMEnabled=false” the Workflow.properties file is located under “cluster\server?\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.workflow.apps\properties”
2. login to your Portal as Administrator and change the flag “Business Workflow Integration Enabled = False” you can find this flag under “System Administration->System Configuration->Universal Worklist & Workflow->Workflow->Engine->Engine
Please make sure to restart your servers after these changes!
Special note: this workaround works only if User Mapping is used. In case of Logon Ticket, this note is not valid.
